Barrel Smoke

Barrel Smoke originates from the most northern part of the Belgian province of Limburg and consists, among others, of former members of Speed Queen, The Insumers and The Mental Scientists. Together, they combine the energy of punk with the musical craftmanship of heavy metal and the intensity of bluesrock to create an irresistible live sound, ideal for all audiences who shrug at the latest trends in the charts.

The band was founded during the pandemic and immediately started to focus on writing their own songs. The first result was the EP 'Barrel Smoke' in 2020, followed two years later by their first full album, 'Locked 'n' loaded'. In February 2023, the band released a new single with the child-friendly title 'Crime, Cocaine & Bootleg Whisky'.

In June 2023, the band signed with the Canadian label Sodeh Records, who'll also take care of the worldwide distrubution of their records. A new album is scheduled for release by the end of 2023. The single 'Neon light' has already provided them with a major radio hit in the US, which means the rest of the world will undoubtedly follow. The second album, called 'Death Trap', was released at the end of October 2024 and contains a new load of songs full of references to the rocking decadence of the 70s.

In the meantime, the band is focusing on live shows, which always convince even the most critical audiences. Early July 2024, they were one of the great discoveries at Sjock festival and a lot more is coming in the following months.
