The Cassandra Complex has been a major force in the alternative circuit since their inception in the simultaneously dark and colourful 80s. They are still considered pioneers of Industrial Rock, a combination of danceable electro and searing guitars that has influenced countless of other musicians throughout the years.
The band pertinently refuses to rest on the laurels created by older hits and continue to write new material on a regular basis. After two succesvul albums in 2022 and 2024, the band released 'Generating Station Complex' in September 2026, a complete re-recording of some of their old classics by original band members Rodney Orpheus, Paul Dillon and Andy Booth, assisted by guest bass player Volker Zacharias. One week after its release, the album went straight to the number 1 spot in the Deutsche Alternative Charts, a clear indication of their lasting popularity.
