Jah Wobble is a musical explorer who consciously and conscienciously looks for all the borders between genres. Since his departure from PIL, where his bass was largely reponsible for the typical sound of their two first albums, he has released more than sixty (yes, 60) albums, most of them with his band The Invaders of The Heart.
On all these releases, he tries to find new horizons, letting himself feel the influence of musicial traditions from all over the world. It's a form of world music, but not as a lot of people interpret this word. Dub, jazz, electro, ethnic music from China to Africa and some less easily defined sounds inspire him to find new musical angles again and again.
Jah Wobble & The Invaders of The Heart play two distinctly different kind of concerts. Most of the time, the setlist consists of songs from recent and less recent albums, but they can also be booked for 'Metal Box rebuilt in Dub', a journey through PIL's legendary second album in which all songs are re-created in dub versions.
