Bellemont consists of five musicians, each with his or her own past, who've found each other in the search for pure, captivating music with hooks and barbs at every angle. They decidedly shy away from trends and fashions, never use the auto pilot and always aim to transform every concert into a unique experience.
The members of the band are or were at some point part of The Wolf Banes, Red Zebra, Betty Goes Green, Scopitone, Irish Coffee, Telstar, Gumbo Gumbo and we're undoubtedly forgetting a dozen or so. Based around Brussels, they're a real blend of backgrounds, having to show three Belgian and two Dutch passports at every border checkpoint.
Musically rooted in soul, blues, rootsrock and psychedelica, Bellemont purposefully ventures beyond their comfort zone, focusing on quality over quantity.
Their debut, 'Live or Lavish', was no less than a double album, containing both live and studio versions of their first batch of songs. While preparing the follow-up album, a number of singles ensued, the latest of which is 'Even wrong words rhyme' in 2023, a title that perfectly encapsulates their musical attitude.
